something NEW – you can leave your remarks at the Blog Page How the Government of the United
States sets the tone for acceptable behavior – Or – Let’s pick on fat people! In
today’s environment of raised awareness regarding “bullying” why is our own
government leading the charge in “bullying” over-weight citizens? That’s
exactly what it is you know - government sponsored bullying. Go
to Wikipedia and read what they describe as “bullying” or read my post about bullying
laws where I post various definitions of bullying. When
a government, society or person uses repeated acts over time that involves a
real or perceived imbalance of power with the more powerful individual or
group abusing those who are less powerful, that is bullying. So
when a group with public recognition, money and power “targets” (target is
the accepted ‘identifier’ of the focus of the bullying) a group that is not
organized, has no public recognition as a group and no money or power that
group, the target, is being bullied. Therefore,
this entire move by the progressive liberals to “target” over-weight people in
society is no different than targeting race, creed or sexual
orientation. It is “bullying” a
particular segment of society. Society
is so aware of teen suicides from bullying regarding sexual orientation but
how about teen suicides coming from “bullying” of kids who are overweight? It
happens you know and our own government is setting the tone for “picking on
fat people”. Messages
had also started turning up on the MySpace bulletin area, saying that “Megan
Meier is a slut,” and “Megan Meier is fat.” Obesity and Teen Suicide As
I was driving in my car last night, I heard a news item on the radio saying
that obese kids are at a greater risk of suicide because they get teased
about their weight. This morning I looked up the Reuter's news agency on the
internet and found a listing about this item. The source of this news is the
current edition of the Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. It
discusses a research study on obese teens and depression. Bullying Obese Kids Into Suicide - What to Do If Your Child is
Being Bullied One
in ten students are frequently bullied (every single day) at school. Children
who are obese have it harder, because they are targets for bullies. Maybe
it's because they're different, maybe it's because their self esteem is lower
because of their weight. It's not fair, but it happens. (Editor: Maybe it’s
because we have a society and government that says; ‘It’s okay to pick on fat
people’.) If
your child is being bullied in any way because of their obesity, then it's
time to speak with your child's teachers. Nobody has the right to bully your
child, or anyone else for that matter... Especially for the reason that they
are obese. If the bullying continues after teachers and school authorities
step in, it's time to speak with police. Bullying is a dominant cause of
depression in kids. Obese children have it hard enough already; They don't
need someone bullying them about their weight. Sarah was a bright and cheerful 10-year-old. Suddenly, she developed an intense fear of going to
school, was having trouble sleeping and became withdrawn. Concerned, her
mother brought Sarah to the school guidance counselor. They discovered that
she was being teased about being heavy. Aside
from the health effects of being an overweight or obese child, there are
far-reaching emotional effects. Loneliness, depression and low self-esteem
can be the fallout in these children. And, bullying or teasing by peers often
fuels the problem. So,
let your neighbor live in peace and let the government know it is un-acceptable
for the government to “bully” anyone. Believe
me, anyone who is over-weight does not need you to remind them that they are
and to do so is rude, uncaring and un-acceptable. No
matter what Barrack Husain Obama and his disciples say, you are NOT YOUR BROTHER’S
KEEPER. You
are responsible for yourself and others, but regarding ‘others’, only to the
point where others are able to take care of themselves. Don’t
be a bully. ©

evidence large people are under assault: “I think
I’d be grossed out if I had to watch two characters with rolls and rolls of
fat kissing each other ... because I’d be grossed out if I had to watch them
doing anything.” “I
guess these characters are in Overeaters Anonymous. So ... points for trying?” “I
have a few friends who could be called plump. I’m not some size-ist jerk.” “I
find it aesthetically displeasing to watch a very, very fat person simply
walk across a room.” All
of these comments from just one writer in one article in a mainstream
magazine published in our Country. A
comment from a reader when it was republished on the Internet: “You
made me feel really bad about myself.
I get reminded everyday how I am less of a human being for being obese, but
you really drove it home for me today. Thanks!,” wrote commenter Lisa 4242. You
know the liberal left progressives want us to be like Europe, well this is
how far it has gone in England: An obese couple’s seven children are all to be taken
into care after their newborn daughter was removed over fears she would
become dangerously overweight. Three children had already been removed by social
services before the infant was taken from her mother within hours of her birth. Now her ‘heartbroken’ parents have learned that their
three other children will be taken away from them too. They say the children of the so-called 'fat family' are
being removed over fears they would also become clinically obese. Think
it won’t happen here if we don’t stop the insanity of the liberal progressive
left? Think again, the bullying of
overweight people by our liberal left progressive government is already at
work in America. S.C. case looks on child obesity as child
abuse. But is it? The
case has attracted national attention. With childhood obesity on the rise
across the USA, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
Gray's attorney says it could open the door to more criminal action against
parents whose children have become dangerously overweight. Slippery
slope ahead? "What
about the parents of every 16-year-old in Beverly Hills who's too thin? Are
they going to start arresting parents because their child is too thin?"
he asks. The
case could have ramifications beyond parental control over obesity to other
eating disorders, and even other behaviors not related to weight, Varner
says. Jolene
Puffer, a personal trainer in Asheville, N.C., says the problem often is
parents "loving their kids to death," especially in low-income
families where food is one of the few things they can afford to give their
children. 20
states have passed requirements for schools to do body mass index (BMI)
screenings or other weight-related tests of children and adolescents, up from
four states five years ago, says the report, title "F as in Fat: How
Obesity Policies are Failing in America." But
it also says that, although every state requires physical education in
schools, the requirements "are often limited, not enforced, or do not
meet adequate quality standards." Children
are overweight for many reasons but the above statement is part of the
problem and the “nanny state” mentality of not letting kids be kids is just
as much at fault for child obesity as any parent being guilty of “loving their kids to death”. With
playground time being limited, how much time is your child spending being
active and how much time is he/she waiting their turn? Maybe
the following will give you some idea of how the “nanny state” mentality is
responsible for children’s inactivity which compounds the risk of becoming
overweight. Parents

Casper Wink, married to Gertrude Kemp,
was also one of the early settlers. They reared six children; Catherine, the
eldest daughter, born in 1728, and Theobald, the eldest son, in 1733. The latter
was the father of sons named Philip, John, Peter, Jacob (a Revolutionary
soldier) and Dewalt. His daughters married Isaac Roberts, Jacob Levan, John
Heidenreich (father of Judge Wm. S. Heidenreich), John Hausman and Daniel Kemp.
A brother of Theobald Wink, John Peter, born in 1745, went to the Revolutionary
War and never returned. Dewalt Wink, son of Theobald, born in 1776, was married
to a daughter of George A. Fister, also a Revolutionary soldier, and who was
the grandfather of Colonel Thomas A. Fister. He was the father of eleven sons
and two daughters, among the former being John G. Wink, of Kutztown. Casper
Wink was a Catholic and a faithful colonist, having his allegiance certified,
which reads as follows:
"I hereby certify that Casper Wink, of Berks County, State of
Pennsylvania, hath voluntarily taken and subscribed the oath of allegiance and
Fidelity, as directed by an Act of General Assembly
of Pennsylvania, passed on the 13th day of June A.D. 1777.
"Witness my hand and seal, the 26th day of May, A.D. 1778.
