arrived home in northern California and was greeted by gasoline prices of
$4.55/gal for 87/octane. When
we left South Carolina gasoline prices were going down; 87/octane was at
$3.29/gal and when we arrived it was $3.39/gal. In
fairness, where I live, there are only two gasoline stations and they are
both trademarked stations, one is Shell and the other is Exxon, while the
price in SC of $3.29 was at an un-trademarked station. But still, a $1.26/gal
price difference is unacceptable. That’s nearly a 40% increase over what they
pay in SC. When
I fill my car with gas it takes generally 16 gals as I don’t usually let it
go until the gauge says empty. So $1.26X16=$20.16 and that’s every time I
fill my car. Because
I am retired and don’t commute to work I probably fill my car maybe 3 times a
month (3X$20.16=$60.48) therefore, with California gas prices, I don’t have
$60.48 a month to spend on food, medicine, entertainment, insurance, doctor
visits etc just because I live in a small town in California. On
one hand this just adds evidence to a tenet of Agenda 21 and that is to force
people out of their cars into mass transit and also to force them to move
from the suburbs to be stacked and packed in designated living areas. But on
the other hand, why here and not Podunk, SC? And
I’ll tell you something else about Podunk, they don’t recycle there either.
Not required. No stupid plastic bag
laws there and they still allow smoking in smoking areas and you can talk on
your cell phone while driving! Can you imagine! How must it feel to think for
you? To make your own choice? But
then, South Carolina, one of the 13
original colonies of the United States has a history of standing up for its
beliefs. South Carolina, a right to work state
where you can choose to belong to a union or not. South Carolina where in December 1860,
the state seceded from the Union and in February 1861 it joined the new
Confederate States of America. South
Carolina where in April 1861 the American Civil War began when Confederate
forces attacked the American fort at Fort Sumter in Charleston harbor. So
who is jerking who’s chain and who is paying for an agenda instead of what
may be necessary? Do
you like paying 40% more for your gas and being told it’s because we have to
save the planet while our fellow Americans just point at us and laugh? CALIFORNIA - THE STATE

is a hard and fast blue state with an entirely Democrat Party run government
including the chief executive officer and with that you get welfare, - state
run redistribution of wealth programs. California’s
unemployment rate, at 10.9 percent, is higher than every other state except

has one-third of the nation’s welfare recipients. Each year, the evidence
that businesses are leaving California or avoid locating here because of the
high cost of doing business due to excessive state taxes and stringent
regulations, grows. “In Chief Executive’s eighth annual survey of CEO
opinion of Best and Worst States in which to do business ... California earns
the dubious honor of being ranked dead last for the eighth consecutive year.

Occupy movement is anti-capitalism. Capitalism
is the only political force that protects the rights of the individual. Socialism

main tenet of socialism is redistribution of wealth, which they have given another
name; “social justice”. The
Occupy movement believes they are “entitled” to something they never earned
themselves and they refer to it as “social justice”. Occupy
wants you to believe the 1% are greedy, so what do you call those who want
what others posses? When
the Occupy movement keeps you from going to work May 1 or blocks off goods
and services who are they hurting? When
the Occupy movement destroys public property or mom and pop businesses, who
pays to repair or replace it? When
they take away your neighborhood police and fire protection to attend to
their riots, who are they hurting? They
are not hurting the so called 1% they are hurting us, the regular folks. Do
not be a useful idiot! Occupy
is a political stunt to advance the cause of socialism which has always

against the myth of Climate Change. The scariest paragraph in the article recently
published in Scientific American is: “The authors called for a
“constitutional moment” at the upcoming 2012 U.N. Conference on Sustainable
Development in Rio in June to reform world politics and government. Among the
proposals: a call to replace the largely ineffective U.N. Commission on
Sustainable Development with a council that reports to the U.N. General
Assembly, at attempt to better handle emerging issues related to water,
climate, energy and food security. If the requirements of Agenda 21 – Sustainable Development
were to come under the control of the UN General Assembly then ultimately UN

is a very serious question, and in my mind, how we answer it will expose how
civilized we are as a society. Scenario number
one: If
a twenty eight year old female teacher has sex with her fourteen year old
male student, society is offended by an adult doing what is considered
“taking advantage of” a juvenile and demands the adult be held responsible. The
twenty eight year old is painted as the perpetrator of the crime and the
fourteen year old is the victim. So
far, this situation seems logical to me, based on the rules society has laid
out as responsible behavior. The twenty eight year old is the responsible
adult who “took advantage of” the fourteen year old juvenile, so, the adult
should be held responsible because according to society the juvenile was
incapable of determining he was being “taken advantage of”. The juvenile did
not understand having sex with an older woman was wrong and he, the juvenile,
was incapable of making that decision in a responsible manner. Scenario number
two: A
fourteen year old male juvenile student brutally attacks and rapes his twenty
eight year old female school teacher which ultimately ends with her death. Obviously
the fourteen year old juvenile is painted the perpetrator and the twenty
eight year old female adult is the victim. Society
decides the juvenile must be held responsible and punished as an adult
possibly facing the death penalty, even though, in the previous scenario a
fourteen year old male juvenile was found “incapable of making that decision
in a responsible manner”. The question: How
do you justify painting the fourteen year old male juvenile in scenario one,
incapable of being responsible for his own actions making him the victim,
yet, in scenario two saying the fourteen year old male juvenile must be
considered an adult and is capable of making decisions in a
responsible manner? Think
about it. Could our

government of funding environmental group Greenpeace via the CIA to
undermine Australia's coal mining sector. He
is angry at Greenpeace's plan to use lawyers to thwart future coal mining
projects and claims funding is coming from US environmental charity the
Rockefeller Foundation. The
Rockefeller Foundation is a known NGO working to advance the UN's Agenda 21
yet it is distressing to learn we may be meddling in the environmental
affairs of an ally. “This is a serious matter indeed because
it goes to the political independence of all Australians. I think the Greens in this coming state
election, all their candidates should resign if they are being funded by an
offshore political power," Mr. Palmer said. "It is tantamount to treason.

Individualism by Herbert Hoover 31st President of the United
States of America Our
individualism differs from all others because it embraces these great ideals:
that while we build our society upon the attainment of the individual, we
shall safeguard to every individual an equality of opportunity to take that
position in the community to which his intelligence, character, ability, and
ambition entitle him; that we keep the social solution free from frozen
strata of classes; that we shall stimulate effort of each individual to
achievement; that through an enlarging sense of responsibility and
understanding we shall assist him to this attainment; while he in turn must
stand up to the emery wheel of competition. In
our individualism we have long since abandoned the laissez faire of the 18th
Century - the notion that it is "everyman for himself and the devil take
the hindmost." We abandoned that when we adopted the ideal of equality
of opportunity - the fair chance of Abraham Lincoln. Whatever
may be the case with regard to Old World Individualism (and we have given
more back to Europe than we have received from her) the truth that is
important for us to grasp today is that there is a world of difference
between the principles and spirit of Old World individualism and that which
we have developed in our country. I
refuse to be damned by anybody's world-classification of it, such as
"capitalism," "plutocracy," "proletariat" or
"middle class," or any other, or to any kind of compartment that is
based on the assumption of some group dominating somebody else. The
social force in which I am interested is far higher and far more precious a
thing than all these. It springs from something infinitely more enduring; it
springs from the one source of human progress - that each individual shall be
given the chance and stimulation for development of the best with which he
has been endowed in heart and mind; it is the sole source of progress; it is
American individualism. The
rightfulness of our individualism can rest either on philosophic, political,
economic, or spiritual grounds. It can rest on the ground of being the only
safe avenue to further human progress.
INTRINSIC NATURE OF RIGHTS I believe that only individuals have rights, not the collective
group; that these rights are intrinsic to each individual, not granted by the
state; for if the state has the power to grant them, it also has the power to
deny them, and that is incompatible with personal liberty I believe that a just government derives its power solely from the
governed. Therefore, the state must never presume to do anything beyond what
individual citizens also have the right to do. Otherwise, the state is a power unto itself and
becomes the master instead of the servant of society. SUPREMACY OF THE INDIVIDUAL I believe that one of the greatest threats to freedom is to allow any
group, no matter its numeric superiority, to deny the rights of the minority;
and that one of the primary functions of just government is to passion of the
protect each individual from the greed and majority. FREEDOM OF CHOICE I believe that desirable social and economic objectives are better
achieved by voluntary action than by coercion of law. I believe that social
tranquility and brotherhood are better achieved by tolerance, persuasion, and
the power of good example than by coercion of law. I believe that those in
need are better served by charity, which is the giving of one's own money,
than by welfare, which is the giving of other people's money through coercion
of law. EQUALITY UNDER LAW I believe that all citizens should be equal under law, regardless of their
national origin, race, religion, gender, education, economic status, life
style, or political opinion. Likewise, no class should be given preferential
treatment, regardless of the merit or popularity of its cause. To favor one
class over another is not equality under law. PROPER ROLE OF GOVERNMENT I believe that the proper role of government is
negative, not positive; defensive, not aggressive. It is to protect, not to
provide; for if the state is granted the power to provide for some, it must
also be able to take from others, and once that power is granted, there are
those who will seek it for their advantage. It always leads to legalized
plunder and loss of freedom. If government is powerful enough to give us
everything we want, it is also powerful enough to take from us everything we
have. Therefore, the proper function of government is to protect the lives,
liberty, and property of its citizens; nothing more. That government is best
